📢 📺 I’m excited to officially share that I’ll be interviewed LIVE on the NY Living Morning Show on WPIX 11 this Friday, May 15 at 10:15 AM to talk about my memoir, The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made!

This will be my very first TV interview, and I’m honestly still taking it all in. From Queens to the world and back again… what a journey.

A very special thank you to my Syracuse University sister Veronica Rosario and producer extraordinaire for believing in me, supporting my dreams, and helping facilitate this incredible opportunity. Your love and encouragement mean so much. 🍊🧡

PIease tune in, help spread the word, and cheer me on! Thank you all for the incredible love and support that continues to carry this book farther than I ever imagined. A recording will be available online soon afterwards.

📢 🗽Back home to my foundation… New York City. Over the next week, I’ll not only be hosting a series of book talks and community gatherings across Queens and Brooklyn, but also reconnecting with the city that shaped me, stretched me, challenged me, and made me who I am today.

💫This trip is deeply personal because it is a full circle moment. From the classrooms of Hillcrest High School to spaces filled with artists, changemakers, students, dreamers, and old friends… I’m coming home with stories, gratitude, and a memoir that carries so much of this city in its bones.

📝 Catch me around NYC this week:

♀️ Wednesday — attending the New York Women’s Foundation Annual Breakfast

🎤 Saturday — book talk at the new Afrikan Poetry Theatre Annex in Queens

🥂 Sunday — intimate book brunch in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn 🏫

🏫 Monday morning — speaking with students at my alma mater, Hillcrest High School

🇭🇹 Monday evening — closing things out celebrating Haitian Flag Day at Lakou Cafe in Brooklyn.

New York raised me and no matter where in the world I’ve traveled or served, this city remains woven deeply into my identity and into the pages of my memoir The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made. The title itself is a love letter to where I come from and the foundation that helped shape my journey.

I’d also love to do more events in other boroughs, so I’ll definitely be looking at planning an encore NYC trip later this summer. If anyone has collaboration ideas, venue suggestions, community spaces, schools, bookstores, cultural hubs, podcasts, or creative event concepts, please feel free to reach out. I’m very open to building something beautiful together. ✨

Hope to see my fellow New Yorkers over the coming week. Pleasw help spread the word and let’s reconnect. ❤️

📢 Hey New York: During my Book Talk Homecoming Series over the next couple of weeks, I'll be stopping in Brooklyn. I can’t think of a more meaningful way to close it out than on Haitian Flag Day in community at Lakou 🇭🇹✨

Join me on Monday, May 18 for an intimate evening of storytelling, reflection, laughter, and conversation during Haitian American Heritage Month.

I’ll be in conversation with my brilliant friend Cassandre Theano about my memoir The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made — the journey from Queens to the world, identity, family, diplomacy, reinvention, and the stories we carry in our bones.

🗓 Monday, May 18, 2026
⏰ 6–8 PM
📍 Lakou Cafe, 195 Utica Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11213

Come connect and celebrate Haitian Flag Day, and vibe with us. Please help spread the word!
❤️🖤💙

📢 Two months ago, on February 14, I released The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made into the world.

What started as something deeply personal (part reflection, part release), has now reached over 246 readers across communities, generations, and continents. That, in itself, means more to me than I can fully put into words.
But I also believe this story still has further to travel.

So I’m setting a small, meaningful goal: to reach 300 copies by April 14, my two-month mark. Not for the numbers alone, but for what they represent. More conversations. More connection. More people seeing pieces of themselves in these pages.

✨ Along the way, I’ve heard from:
* A father who hadn’t picked up a book in years…and finished mine in a day.
* Family and friends who discovered parts of my story they never knew.
* Readers across different cultures and backgrounds who found something that resonated.

That’s when I realized—this book isn’t just mine anymore. If you’ve been thinking about reading it, this is an opportune moment to step in. And if you’ve already read it, I’d be so grateful if you could take a moment to leave a review on the platform where you purchased it. Those reviews truly help the book reach new readers.

Thank you for being part of this journey and helping carry it forward. Let’s see what we can build together over the next few days. Who's with me? 🙌 🤍

My domestic book tour is certainly shaping up nicely. The international one will start later this year including Tanzania 🇹🇿 and South Africa 🇿🇦. Stay tuned.

Have an idea? Know of a great event or venue for me? Let's collaborate! 🤝🏾🙌🏾

So thankful for all my blessings 🙏🏾 I had no idea that becoming a published author would change the trajectory of my life journey in such positive ways. 🌟

Hope to see you soon. We outside 😝 Coming to a city near you! 🌎

📢 Community alert:

The Hip Hop Loves youth center in Rio de Janeiro 🇧🇷 was unfortunately impacted by a fire, and they lost over $30,000 in equipment used for youth programs.

This center is a safe, creative home where young people come to dance, create, play sports, learn, and grow.

They're raising funds to rebuild and reopen the space for the kids. Any donation or share truly helps.

See before and after pics here and the link to support below. Thanks in advance for any support ya'll can give.

🗣 I never set out to be a diplomat. If I’m honest, I didn’t even know what one really was back in the day.

I just knew that I wanted to escape.

Escape the limits placed on girls like me.

Escape the narrow expectations of where I was from and how far I could go.

Escape without fully realizing that I was actually following a path already carved for me.

🌳 My grandfather Faine Jean Baptiste, my mother’s father, is in one of the pictures here. Can you spot who he is? This was 1950 America, not so hard to pick him out from the crowd. He was an agronomist with the Haitian government and sent for a course at Michigan State College (now university). I'm only realizing now how he was studying, learning, and serving through government work long before the word “diplomacy” ever entered my vocabulary.

I think about how his journey made my mother’s possible, and eventually mine. That his time in the United States, his belief in education and movement, planted the seed that later carried her here in her early twenties, brave enough to begin again in a new country.

✨️Then, decades later, I found myself in that same state, Michigan. This time in 2004, as a Population Fellow at the University of Michigan. Not chasing diplomacy, just chasing possibility and deepening my public health knowledge.

Not realizing I was tracing a circle that had already been drawn.

What I thought was flight was really inheritance.

What felt like running was becoming.

📖 The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made is a story about movement, memory, and the generations that push us forward even when we don’t yet have language for where we’re headed.

💫 Sometimes escape is just purpose taking the long way around.

🗣 2026!!! In the words of Nas, Who’s world is this? The world is yours, ours, mine. Let's get it 🙌🏾🫶🏾

Because whew, this past year has been a doozy with multiple, continuing losses and setbacks. 😩 God and the universe have put me through a LOT of tests in 2025 and have prepared me for tomorrow and beyond 🙏🏾

🛑 I rebuke all negativity, hatred, warmongering and violence ‼️

I am channeling all of my ancestors. I am more than ready to cut through the distractions, leap over the hurdles, turn the page and step into what is up next for me 🇭🇹 ✨️

I’m claiming 2026 as my year of rebirth, renewal, and next level growth in ways we haven’t seen yet. 💥

I will also be heavily flexing my equanimity and peace muscles 💪🏾✌🏾☮️

I’m getting ready to launch my first of what I now feel will be several books on February14th - "The World in My Bones: The Diplomat Queens Made." 📕🌍📖

I'm getting ready to step fully onto the international speaker circuit. Getting ready to see my story live beyond the page as a podcast, plays, TV series, films. You name it, I'll consider it. 🎨🎭📺🎬🎤📻

I'm also interested in roles in arts and culture, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility and mental health and wellness. Know of anything interesting in those realms? Please let me know 🤝🏾

I’m speaking it all into existence. I'm manifesting positivity and claiming victory 💫

I’m welcoming every interview, every conversation, every opportunity, every person who will be touched by this journey. Who's with me?? Let's discuss...🙌🏾 ✨

and loading ⏳️

This is how I'm stepping into 2026. How about you? 💡

Happy new year. Let's get it 🙌🏾🫶🏾
