Remember how i got a box a couple of weeks ago.
Well life got in the middle. I sat bar five day and came back to a full schedule of things.
But finally I got to Crack this box open. Ahahahahahah.

I still remember this as clear as a springtime morning.

Guest: may I have a dirty Manhattan?
Me: you mean a dirty martini?!
G: no no a dirty Manhattan... you know bourbon and sweet vermouth but dirty.
Me: (afraid to ask) How dirty?!
G: oh... (with villainous eyes and intent) very dirty.
And olives on the side.
Me: (realizing this person fears nothing and considers nothing holy) absolutely (clearly nervously sweating).

What is your story of an order that had you wondering if this was your correct career choice.

Happy GINSDAY... A day for deep diving in to a bottle that finds a home behind wells.

TODAY:
DISSENT GIN
FROM
IN Washington DC

A nother hit from our friendly neighborhood distillery located in NE DC.
Of course the socio-political theme will always be central .
In this case, the Inspiration came from RBG.
This nonconforming spirit is inspired by RBG's proud history of dissenting opinions and the rich aromas and flavors of her hometown. It brings together ingredients not often found in a gin: pepper, allspice, bay leaf, ginger, lemon, mandarin orange and hickory smoke.
Think of it as taking a Pastrami on rye and turning it to a clear liquid, that's the best way to put it
It's savory, briny, salty and very fragrant, with a backend hint of refreshing citrus.
Botanicals: pepper, allspice, bay leaf, ginger, lemon, mandarin orange, hickory smoke.
But of course in choosing this path you choose your companions. This gin. Is definitely out there on its own, and in doing such it created its own place of belonging. It has a very stern niche that might not be for everyone, if you like it you love it.

Suggested in a Dirty martini (no matter how dirty) or sip it needs while enjoying a pastrami on Rye Sammy.

Cheers!!! Enjoy.

Aaaaaah the weeds. That lovely place where anyone who works in this industry visits a little to often.
Sometimes it's "okay" but sometimes when all systems fail... you find yourself so deep in the weeds you are basically in Kingston Jamaica.

So in those moments what have you said that wasn't really you but the situation.

Also the art is not mine but if you recognize it ...
Slap yourself in the comments for some credit.

Ladies and gentlemen let's keep this one holy will we...

We all know the first thing we eat are a shot and a beer.

But give me the actual food.
(Bourbon and IPA for me) followed by whatever my kids don't finish, or any snack I have at home.

Happy GINSDAY... A day for deep diving into a bottle that finds a home behind the .

TODAY
JIN JIJI HIGH PROOF INDIA DRY GIN
from
In Goa,India

High proof dry gin produced in Goa, India
Distilled by Nao Spirits from 100% wheat-based NGS from West Bengal on a copper pot still.
Botanicals include Himalayan & Macedonian juniper, coriander seed, black tea, angelica root, tulsi (holy basil), cashew nut, and chamomile.
Starting to feel like Hapusa was on to something.
This is a fun one.
Beginning with expressive aromas of juicy citrus and chamomile, the palate kicks off with berry tartness transitioning to the surprising creaminess of freshly plucked tulsi and hints of floral honey. The finish is warm and creamy, lingering light with sweet herbs.

Amplifying the floral notes of the core expression of Jin Jiji while dialing down it’s delicate sweetness, this high proof gin sings with lime oil and verdant herbal bitterness. Strong enough to bolster any cocktail, it maintains a surprising silkiness for a high proof sprit.
I was surprised when I tried this.
Reading 57% scared me,but to be honest it drinks sooooo smoothly.

Suggested in a negroni, a biter and a 50/50 martini.

CHEERS!!! ENJOY...

Ahahahahah this one always makes me laugh and I've gotten very brutal with my answers.

My go to is: nope, we decided to put a horrible cocktail on the menu to make sure we ruined the entire team's reputation and hard work.
Followed by an explanation of "every cocktail is a good cocktail if it lands in the right hands. My job is to make the two match!!!"

Still... what makes you say that ? Anyway...

Sharing is caring soooo share 👇below 👇

Ahahaha... (we need help)

Happy GINSDAY... A day for deep diving in to a bottle that finds a home behind the bar .

TODAY:

Assembly Gin
From
In Washington DC

Assembly, is a nod to both process and purpose. Taking inspiration from the founding team's Italian heritage to craft a savory gin that speaks to both roots and values.
Created by carefully sourcing local ingredients, like hand-picked tomato leaves grown by area farmers. The backbone of this gin is as innovative as the blend of ingredients, such as sustainably sourced Red Juniper berries which are native to the Eastern US and delicate enough to let this Assembly of ingredients shine.
It’s a Gin like no other. With savoury flavours of Tomato leaf, Olive leaf, Oregano and Fennel Seed, it is designed to leave a bitter aftertaste, like every Italian its loud and loving with a delightful bouquet of savory and earthy goodness.

Suggested in a Martini (lightly dirty) or a Ricky, but also Italian and Italian go together, try it in a Negroni stir it sip and " forget about it"

CHEERS... ENJOY!!!
