In the mobilebartending business, there are times when the bartenders are faceless, nameless pourers of booze. This weekend was different. I, along with Stephanie Lyn Morley worked a wedding welcome party and wedding. At the wedding, I was there to help set up and help move bar supplies once cocktail hour was over. I heard my name called and thought it was one of the team. I turned and the guest said, "We saw Stephanie at the bar and did not think you would be here." I explained why I was, I did not want them to do it alone and try not to interrupt the flow of serving.
This happened 2 more times during the night. Not only did these guest remember our names, they acknowledged us the next night and thanked us for our service at the welcome party. They have no idea that what they did served as such a huge compliment.
I am so grateful to have a team that people remember, and have such great interactions with us, that we are not just faceless, nameless drink slingers. We are William, Raine, Stephanie, Dawn, Leah, Diana, Bonnie, Melanie, Caleb, Amanda, Alexcia, Kate, Tess, et al. Thank you to my team, Sherrie and Dave, my first repeat clientsand owners of Mystic Catering, John Simcock from Tailgate Gourmet Catering for many references (not to mention a helluva tailgate at the Pats game, Colby and Devin Bane, and Sara's Cooking and Catering. Here's to 10 years in the business and more to come!!
