Some memories don’t need perfect lighting. 💚

This was one of those evenings in Costa Rica earlier this year.

We were gathered around the table, dressed comfortably, laughing and settling in while our chef told us about the dinner he had prepared for us.

And I remember thinking: this is what it feels like to be cared for.

Not rushing.
Not figuring out what’s for dinner.
Not taking care of everybody else.

Just sitting down, being served, enjoying good food, good conversation, and the women around the table.

Those are the kinds of moments I think about when I imagine Barbados 2027.

Yes, we’ll explore. Yes, we’ll have experiences. But there will also be moments to simply exhale, sit at the table, and let someone else take care of the details for a while.

I'm curious about who's creating right here in our community.

The Green Coterie is building Voices from the Living Room — intimate evenings where local voices can share their work in a comfortable space, followed by a little conversation and connection.

So this isn't exactly an audition or a formal casting call. I'm simply looking to discover who's out there.
