After searching for nearly a year, we just couldn’t find what we were looking for. We wanted something custom—something you simply can’t walk into a big-box store and buy—that would perfectly match our rustic table.

That’s when we reached out to Eric King with Oak and Timber TX.

Eric took our vision and turned it into reality, and the finished piece exceeded our expectations. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion for his work truly show in everything he creates.

To top it all off, after the installation was complete, we were given a custom cutting board that was absolutely beautiful. You could tell it was made with so much care, love, and pride in the craft. It was an incredibly thoughtful touch and something we’ll enjoy for years to come.

What an incredible weekend in Portland, Texas! 🔥🍖

Team BeerBod had the opportunity to attend the Rio Valley Meat BBQ x Gulf Coast Smoke BBQ classes, and what an experience it was!

From the early mornings to the late nights, every minute was worth it. We learned so much from some of the best in the BBQ world, picked up new techniques, and gained knowledge that we’re excited to bring back, put into practice, and make our own.

The best part wasn’t just the BBQ—it was meeting an amazing new BBQ family. The friendships, support, and passion for the craft made this weekend one we’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Rio Valley Meat BBQ and Gulf Coast Smoke BBQ for sharing your knowledge and making everyone feel welcome. We also want to give a big shout-out to Outlaw BBQ Smokers for sponsoring and giving away an incredible drum smoker! While Team BeerBod didn’t get to take it home this time, it was awesome watching that pit work flawlessly all weekend. It’s an impressive smoker, and congratulations to the lucky winner!

Weekends like this remind us that BBQ is about more than cooking—it’s about learning, sharing, and building lifelong friendships. We can’t wait to keep growing, keep cooking, and put everything we learned into action.

Another great weekend on the BBQ trail for Team BeerBod One Ear Tag at the Hotter Than Hell 2.0 BBQ Cook-Off in Lampasas!

A big thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it a great event, especially Michael “Tex” Olson for hosting and Dianne Allen Arocha for keeping the judging running smoothly in the Texas heat.

Congratulations to First Class BBQ on Grand Champion and Hatch’ BBQ on Reserve Grand Champion!

What a thrilling, heat-soaked battle at the Smokin’ Rumble 4th of July BBQ Cookoff, where Team BeerBod took on seven intense categories in just 4½ hours!

But at the end of the day, Team BeerBod managed to bring home:

1st Place Beans
1st Place Margarita
3rd Place Cook’s Choice
2nd Place Chicken
6th Place Ribs
1st Place Brisket

And a whopping 4th Place in Salsa with BeerBod’s favorite — my brisket salsa!

A big congratulations to Mrs. BeerBod on her 6th Place Salsa finish!

And a huge congratulations to Blake Hairston (Short Rib Drums) on taking home Grand Champion — well deserved!

To God be the glory for allowing us to do what we love and enjoy days like this.

Team BeerBod is heading just down the road next weekend for the Smokin’ Rumble 4th of July BBQ Cook-Off in Rosebud, Texas!

It’s always nice to have a cook-off this close to home, and we’re looking forward to a great weekend of BBQ, friends, and celebrating Independence Day.
