What makes San Diego the best beer community?

Long before the San Diego Brewers Guild existed, local brewers gathered at clubs like QUAFF to share recipes, ideas, successes, and failures with one another.

Many of those early members went on to become some of the most influential names in craft beer, both in San Diego and beyond. More importantly, they created a culture of collaboration that continues to define the local beer scene today.
