Not to brag, but rather show off our brand enthusiasm, this is our current company collection.
Our two family cars include an 06 Cayenne Turbo and 16 Cayenne base. The 06, despite having 165k miles and being difficult to work on, has everything working and is still nearly perfect. The 16 Cayenne is the complete opposite, easy to work on and reliable, the perfect daily driver.
Our two weekend drivers are a 02 911 and a 13 Boxster. The 996 gen is the cheapest 911 right now and that makes it the most bang for your buck. While not as reliable as the 911 before it, or comfortable as the 911 after, it’s still very fun car to drive. The 13 Boxster is really one of the best cars Porsche has made, the flat six is loud, the handling is superb and despite having 77k miles on it, I couldn’t find a single thing wrong.
Our two classics include a 81 928 and 87 944. These cars look similar but are complete opposites. The 928 is very complex, has a massive V8, aluminum body and complicated technology for its time. The 944 is simple, easy to work on, has cheap and abundant parts, and fun to throw around.
The GT3/4 cars are really the highlight of the brand. I can’t say enough good things about them. A 2016 GT4 might be the best buy right now, and we have our eyes open.
I would recommend any of these models, depending on what you’re looking to get out of a Porsche.
