Proprietors Larry and Jessica Delgado met in Austin in 1998, while working for Carrabba’s Italian Grill. The pair fell in love with food, wine, the industry, and more importantly, each other. Larry and Jessica hopped their way around Texas with Carrabba’s, working their way up to Managing Partners. ry, who was born and raised in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, had his sights set on the up and coming town of McAllen, Texas. Bags were packed and cars were loaded, and on October 2, 2008, Larry and Jessica opened house. What originally began as a chic wine lounge and furniture store, house. wine. & bistro evolved over the next few years into a full service restaurant offering lunch, dinner, and catering services. The wine list features over 150 hand selected bottles from boutique and family owned wineries, and the menu boasts regional and organic ingredients drenched in Italian and Mediterranean flavors. With purpose and with passion, Larry and Jessica continue their love story everyday by introducing their customers to the stories of the farmers, families, wineries, artists, food and culture behind house.wine. & bistro.
