If you stopped by The Angry Beaver today, first of all… thank you for surviving it.

Canada and USA fans packed this place so full we were one person away from having to start seating people in the freezer next to the mozzarella sticks.

We watched Canada battle Bosnia & Herzegovina to a draw, then watched Team USA put on a goal-scoring clinic against Paraguay. The beers were flowing, the wings were disappearing faster than parking spots in Seattle, and at least three people temporarily became soccer experts after watching exactly one half.

But the World Cup train keeps rolling!

Tomorrow we’ve got:

🇶🇦 Qatar vs Switzerland – Noon
🇧🇷 Brazil vs Morocco – 3 PM
🇭🇹 Haiti vs Scotland – 6 PM
🇦🇺 Australia vs Türkiye – 9 PM

So bring your friends, your neighbors, your coworker who suddenly claims they’ve always been a huge Morocco supporter, and that one guy who keeps explaining offsides incorrectly.

The Angry Beaver is officially World Cup headquarters. Cold beer, great food, giant screens, and absolutely no requirement to know what a striker does.

We opened early for Canada and now we’ve accidentally created a full-blown international incident of sports.

⚾ Mariners vs Nationals at 3:45 PM
⚽ USA vs Paraguay at 6:00 PM

The Mariners are trying to convince everyone they should be taken seriously.

The Nationals are trying to convince everyone they still exist.

USA vs Paraguay is tonight, which means thousands of Americans will suddenly become soccer experts despite spending the last 20 years asking, “Wait… what’s offside again?”

Meanwhile, our TVs will be hotter than the surface of the sun, the beer will be colder than your ex’s heart, and the wings will disappear faster than a referee after a controversial call.

Need an excuse to leave work early?

The Mariners start at 3:45.

Need an excuse to stay out all night?

USA kicks off at 6.

Need an excuse to avoid doing literally anything productive?

Buddy, that’s what The Angry Beaver was built for.

Skip work. We won’t tell your boss. In fact, if your boss shows up too, we’ll call it team building.
Bring your dog! Your poor pup has been staring out the window all week wondering why you keep leaving without them. Today’s their chance to judge your life choices in person.
Got vacation time? Use it.�Don’t have vacation time? Sounds like a future-you problem.

Friday morning, Canada takes on Bosnia & Herzegovina, and we’re opening the doors at 11AM so you can properly call in “soccer sick” with the rest of us.

Will Canada score? Absolutely.
Will someone yell at the TV like the players can hear them? Also absolutely.
Will there be beer before noon? We’re not here to judge.

Game 5 is here, and the stress levels are officially higher than our wing sauce inventory.

The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes are back at it tonight, and if the last few games have taught us anything, it’s that blood pressure is just a suggestion during playoff hockey.

Puck drops at 5PM at The Angry Beaver.

Tonight at The Angry Beaver, we’re combining two very different kinds of athletic competition.

At 5:30 PM, it’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Millionaire professional athletes will be running, jumping, and performing at the highest level of human achievement.

Then at 7 PM, Geeks Who Drink Trivia begins, where grown adults will confidently write “Steve Buscemi” as the answer to a question about the French Revolution.

Come watch the Knicks and Spurs battle for basketball glory, then stick around to watch your friends argue for ten minutes about whether a tomato is a fruit, vegetable, or a conspiracy.

Trivia starts at 7 PM sharp, but poor decisions begin much earlier.

After the Spurs did the Lord’s work and eliminated the Thunder, we’re faced with a difficult question:

Who are we rooting for now?

The Spurs? The Knicks?

The answer is yes.

For one magical series, we were all lifelong Spurs fans. We definitely never said anything bad about them. Not once. Don’t check our post history.

Now we’re gathering at The Angry Beaver to watch Game 3 and figure out where our temporary basketball loyalties belong. Root for the Spurs because they beat OKC? Root for the Knicks because… well… they’re not OKC?

It’s the NBA Finals equivalent of choosing which side dish you want with your beer.
