Let’s learn "The Door"! 🚪✨ Tonight at Quinton Community Rec Center 6:30-8PM!
If you’ve been wanting to try line dancing, this is your perfect sign. We are breaking down "The Door," an absolute favorite beginner routine choreographed by Jeff & Kari Smilko to the incredible track by Teddy Swims!
It is a 32-count, 4-wall dance with absolutely zero tags or restarts—which means once you learn the four basic sections, you’ve got it down! 💃🕺
The Quick Breakdown:
1️⃣ Toe Struts moving forward 🦶
2️⃣ K-Step (diagonal touches) 🔄
3️⃣ Monterey 1/4 Turn & a Jazz Box Cross 🔄
4️⃣ Right & Left Lindys (side shuffles!) ➡️⬅️
Save this post to practice later, tag your favorite dance partner, and let’s hit the floor! 🎶

Last night marked our very last night at the American Legion Post 284 in Colonial Heights. We want to say a massive THANK YOU for 3 incredible years of dancing, laughter, and amazing memories. We truly had an absolute blast! Huge shoutout and thank you to Dancin' Cat for trusting Hooked on Country to step in and cover the Legion line dancing whenever she was away!
A extra special thank you goes out to Commander Tim Capps, who headed up all our events. Tim, thank you for making sure everything ran smoothly and ensuring everyone always had a wonderful time. You served your Legion exceptionally well and will be deeply missed.
