Wildflower’s Story

Hello! I’m Joe, owner and founder of Wildflower Spirited Bartending. I grew up in Colorado and graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO in 2006. During college I began my still on-going career in the tourism industry, guiding jeep trail tours for a local whitewater rafting company. Before long I learned how to guide a raft and fell in love with being on the river. Rafting has taken me around the west and shown me magnificent places and people. These experiences have been invaluable to my growth as a person and a professional, including nine years of managerial experience honing my talent for orchestrating details and logistics.

It was rafting that brought me to Salida, CO, where I eventually changed careers and became a full-time bartender. (It is also where I met my beautiful fiancé, Anna!) I have worked all roles in a bar, from bartender to inventory manager and everything in between. In wanting to merge my years of customer service with my knowledge of how to smoothly run a bar, Wildflower Spirited Bartending was born.

One of my favorite things about guiding jeeps and rafts is working with clients who are always in good moods. These folks are on vacation. They simply want a professional who will set reasonable expectations, take care of their needs, and help keep their good times rolling. I started Wildflower Spirited Bartending with this professional attitude in mind. You’re happy; you’re having a celebration! Wildflower helps move your good times along by showing up on-time, prepared, and ready to go for your event. We assist you in ironing out the details before your big day. That way you can rest assured that your guests will be well lubricated and that you will be the star of the day!
