Our sow herd consists of purebred Berkshire, Duroc, Yorkshire, Landrace, Spots, Poland China, Chester White, Hereford and Tamworth and Hampshire and Crossbred.

Free Range x WTX 230 x Special Effect

We will be selling a set of Berkshires on Tuesday, September 1st on showpig that we are very proud of. As we were sorting through nurseries a couple weeks ago I was caught off guard as I walked into the room. The quality, the consistency from top to bottom these are the Berkshires that we have dreamed of raising and not just one of them, the entire litter of 14 is good. We will be selling 6 boars from this litter. I think they can do some great things in and out of the showring.

Mom is a sow we raised WTX 230 x Special Effect. Grandma "Betsy Ross" was Res. Champion at The Exposition in 2023, her littermate was also named Champion. She was bred by Trogden and was my favorite Berkshire we have had. Her second litter she raised for us she had 19 born alive. We kept every gilt, one was named Res Champion Gilt at 2024 Arizona Nationals, brother was 3rd Overall Berkshire barrow also at Arizona Nationals and another brother is reserve Champion at a county fair in Texas. We kept every gilt from that litter. Unfortunately we lost her too soon, her 3rd and last litter she raised the 68 litters mom.

Sire is a boar what was housed at Premium Blend called Free Range. He is a Henhouse x Top Shelf x Jet Black raised by Decker.

There is a reason we have so many Berkshire sows and thats because not only of their quality but they are productive generators whom many go back to "Betsy Ross" again if your looking for a Berkshire look in on litter #68.
