Wednesday Open Mic & Jam at the Postage Inn

If you've never played live with a good band, it is a magic feeling. You start strumming your Dylan song, the bass and drums slide in just right, somebody jumps in with a harmonica or a riff on the piano, and when you hit the chorus you've got two people singing harmony right behind you. So then, is this an open mic or a jam session? We try to make it the best of both. Sure, you can sign

up to do the usual three songs. We also make a habit of mixing things up on stage with whatever talent is in the house. For us, making this come together and sound great is the real challenge, and the real joy, of a night of music. We've been cooking Wednesdays at the Postage Inn for a couple of months now. It is a good time, with a solid, friendly house band and a growing crew of talented regulars. Come on in and check us out. If you want to sing or play, we have a PA and full back line. We usually have amps and keyboards for you to use, or you can just bring your rig. If you have original material, or an itch for something a little more challenging, make some cheat sheets with words and chords, and the house band will work it out.
