FSU Skydiving Club

Hey all! Just wanted to post an update since nothing has been posted in a long time and we continue to receive messages from time to time. Everyone who ran this club back in the day has graduated and moved on to my knowledge. Some have quit the sport, but many alumni are still fun jumping or even working in skydiving now...we have two tunnel instructors (iFly Denver and iFly Dallas), a member of the US Army Golden Knights, and a marketer at Performance Designs. A few have been competing and doing records all over the country. Sadly, I do not believe there is an FSU Skydiving Club anymore, so for those of you looking for info here it is: If you are interested in doing a tandem skydive near Tallahassee we recommend that you hit up Tony at Skydive Panama City (http://www.xtremeskydivers.com/). It's generally around $200 and no FSU will NOT pay for it. If you want to learn to jump solo, look into AFF at a dropzone near you and be prepared to spend around $1400 on the certification. For any active fun jumpers that happen to go to Florida State and want to get in touch with us about jumping or how to start the club back up again, feel free to email me personally at [email protected]. There is a good network of skydiving club alumni in FL and around the country that would love to make some jumps! Hope that helps and I hope someone picks up the skydiving club again someday. So awesome to see two FSU Skydiving Club alumni on the podium at this years USPA NATIONALS 4way Advanced VFS Competition. Congrats to John Long with the Golden Knights for taking gold and Will Welbon with STF FORGY for coming home with bronze!!

Hey Folks! We will be having a meeting this Thurs the 21st at 7pm in Union Room 311a. We will be talking about the upcoming collegiate boogie put on by the UF Falling Gators Skydiving Club near gainseville at Skydive Palatka. As it is every year, it will be a great time!
