ICI Metals has a great opportunity for a CDL driver!

Responsibilities:
* Same-day local deliveries, no overnights.

* Deliver to customers or pick up from vendors a variety of different metals in various forms (flat-rolled, bar, tubing/pipe, etc.).
In addition to making deliveries, the job includes loading and unloading trucks, keeping trucks clean and maintained, and general clean up as needed.

Requirements:
* Clean driving record.
* Previous commercial flatbed experience, preferably to include metal hauling.
* Willing to work overtime as needed.

* Minimum Associate’s degree in a Quality Assurance related field, or certified CQT or CQI.

* Demonstrated progressive responsibility in a metal or manufacturing quality control inspection position, for a minimum of 5 years.

* Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015. Comprehensive metals knowledge required – specifically stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum; as well as measurement knowledge of extrusions, bar, pipe & tubing, sheet, and plate.

* Must be proficient in using and reading all quality control precision measurement instruments; including but not limited to: micrometers, calipers, tape measures, measuring squares, gauges, and dial indicators. Knowledge of HBW and another hardness testing. Proficiency in industrial math also required.

* Ability to read a mill certification, past experience documenting and implementing Standard Operating Procedures.

* Implementation/maintenance of a 5S lean work environment, knowledge of Six Sigma strategies and implementation.

* Must have the ability to document quality findings reports to submit to management, suppliers, and customers once outcome and course of action have been determined.

*Must be open to working flexible and overtime hours as needed, and able to work with changing priorities.

* Must be adept at working with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and suppliers, both in person and in writing.

Sales will focus on Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Carbon & Alloy Steel; as well as inventory management and other value-added services. This territory will cover Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati, OH. Compensation is base salary + commission.
