The few, the proud, the Gerbils -- the boys had to play Iron Man last night because the team is full of as****es, but they managed to tie the super-talented GMU squad, 7-7! Eric Chen, Julian Marin, and Kevin Hyde starred for the Gerbils, who were backstopped by a great effort from Mark Elsberry! Their next game is on Tuesday against the Leprechauns!

The Fighting Gerbils are sad to announce the end of their two game dynasty, as Pat Lawton has had an unresolvable dispute with management and has been placed on waivers. In the process, he was claimed by the Average Joes, who for some reason didn't realize the season was coming and didn't recruit any players. This is in the wake of a glorious, 6-2 victory over Men in Black. Wear your black hats and suits today, people, for the dynasty is dead. DEAD!

Never fear, Gerbils fans! On the heels of a great 7-2 win over Average Joe's: Bronze League All-Star Hockey At its Finest, the Gerbils are ready to announce that they will be returning for the Winter 2011 season at The Box (Potomac Inline Hockey)! By re-signing Tom Musman and trading for Pat Lawton, they're now only one roster spot shy of full, which is great news.

Doubleheader night at PIHI means the Gerbils get bludgeoned twice this time! Free Candy and That's What She Said were the boys' executioners this time. Next game is Sunday against District 5.

Despite a heroic effort by Mark Elsberry, the Gerbils lose 4-1 to the Men in Black. Thanks to solid play by Elsberry, Kevin Hyde, and Stefan Awad, the game was kept from being as one sided as it could've been. The rest of the schedule isn't up yet, but it's safe to say the next game is on Tuesday.
