Cherished Friends and Customers…

South Portland Wine Company is changing.

An opportunity has presented itself, and we felt that it could not be passed up.
Nappi Distributors is taking over our book of wine.
This decision is bittersweet for us both as we have been lucky enough to make a living sharing what we love, wine.
It is so often said that timing is everything, and the timing now seems right.

We are so very thankful to all of you, without all of you none of this would have been possible.
As many of you know, you never clock out when you own your own business. We are looking forward to our next chapter and being able to clock out and go home and be present in our family’s lives.
These twenty-one years have been wonderful, and we will treasure all the memories.
This will be the first holiday season in more years than we care to count that we get to spend quality time with family.
We know the Nappi family will take care of the wines that you have grown to love.
They will be able to offer more to our customers and vendors.
They have more boots on the ground, more trucks and layered management.

Thank you everyone, our love of wine is still there, we are just stepping back for a while to enjoy our daughter.

It's WORLD SAKE DAY this Wednesday!

Established in 1978, October 1st is known as Nihonshu no Hi, and is Japan's traditional kickoff to the sake brewing season. At this point, most of the rice has been harvested, and the cooler months ahead are the best for controlled fermentation. More than this, we celebrate sake's cultural significance throughout Japan's history and its many amazing brewers.
