With every year, I get a little better at loving each season for what it brings. Right now that means the autumnal color shift in all of the trees and these golden glow evenings🌞

Such a rejuvenating day getting be creative after a full wedding season 🤍

This was such a fun day getting to create Ashely’s (Washington & California wedding photographer ) vision! I always get so excited when I see her “I have an idea” messages come in!!! Not to mention, getting to work with this wonderful, and newly married model couple brendan + erin ✨

The cherry on the top of the day was how stunning it was up at Ebey’s Landing. I would LOVE to see more styled shoots, or even micro weddings there! 🌾

Let’s talk about fall colors — because they don’t always have to mean rustic oranges, reds, and earthy browns. 🍂

Fall can be juicy purples and playful pinks. Chartreuse greens that glow against the last of the light. Golden yellows that feel warm without tipping into “harvest festival.”

This goes for weddings too. I was scrolling through Pinterest this morning and found myself becoming so excited and drawn to the less expected color stories this season that I was seeing — the pinks, the purples, the greens, the palettes that surprise people and prove fall has range beyond pumpkin spice and burlap.

What’s your take: classic autumnal, or something a little more unexpected? 🍁

Some moments from Erin and Brendan’s wedding ✨

When Erin and I first started talking florals, I got so excited - everything they envisioned was this perfect blend of fun, funky, and modern twists.

Two moments I have to highlight. 1 ~ Brendan’s reaction to his pocket boutonniere might be my favorite of the season so far. “I get flowers too?!” - biggest smile on his face. Made my whole day 🤍 2 ~ Originally, Brendan wanted to arrange all the flowers himself. My heart grew three sizes hearing that he wanted to learn floral design and pour that kind of care into their day. We met in the middle - I brought them buckets of blooms for DIY bud vases.

Fabulous day, even more fabulous couple. Don’t be surprised if you see more of these two on my feed ✨

Special thanks to the photographer Jeanne | Seattle Film Wedding Photographer 🎞️ - since I still can’t take a professional photo to save my life (yet) - and to the gorgeous Kiana Lodge for hosting!
