Shawn decided to challenge her line dancers with a peppy, uptempo Intermediate dance—and Little Miss Rock-a-Round certainly kept everyone moving! 🔥👢

This energetic dance combines quick footwork, creative choreography, and plenty of rock ’n’ roll personality! Although it is only 32 counts, its upbeat tempo gave everyone an enjoyable challenge while working on timing, transitions, direction changes, and staying in rhythm with the music.

Shawn broke the choreography down section by section, allowing everyone time to understand the footwork and become comfortable with each new combination.

Everyone stayed focused, asked questions, helped one another, and gained more confidence with every wall. It was wonderful watching the steps gradually come together as everyone began matching the choreography to the music! ❤️🎶

Little Miss Rock-a-Round was a lively and entertaining addition to our Tuesday-night lineup. We look forward to bringing it back for more practice and review!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought such wonderful energy, patience, and friendship to the class. Tuesday nights are always better when we spend them dancing together! 🤠💃🕺

Tuesday night brought a familiar favorite back to the dance floor—with a brand-new Pattern Partner twist! 🎶👏

Shawn originally taught the line-dance version of Turn This Town in July. This week, Shawn and Kevin introduced the new Pattern Partner version, giving dancers another fun way to enjoy this terrific country song!

Returning dancers already familiar with the line dance enjoyed learning the partner version, while everyone worked together on the steps, timing, and transitions. Its upbeat country rhythm and enjoyable choreography kept the floor moving and everyone smiling! 🤠💃🕺

We have submitted an English translation of the step sheet to CopperKnob and hope it will be published soon. We will share the link as soon as it becomes available! 📄🤞

We also enjoyed reviewing Whiskey and Rain, danced to the beautiful country song by Michael Ray. 🤠❤️

We added another new dance to our Sunday night lineup, and this one brought plenty of honky-tonk attitude to the floor! 🤠🔥

Shawn introduced Turn This Town, a fun High Beginner line dance with a great country feel and music that makes you want to get up and move.

Turn This Town is one of those dances that has just enough challenge to keep everyone thinking while still being fun to learn and dance. The choreography works beautifully with the music and gives dancers a chance to practice timing, transitions, turns, and smooth movement around the floor. 🎶👢

Shawn broke the dance down section by section, giving everyone plenty of time to work through the choreography before putting all 32 counts together.

As always with a new teach, there were a few moments of thinking, “Which wall are we on now?” 😄 But with a little repetition, the pieces started coming together and everyone became more comfortable each time through.

That is what Sunday night classes are all about—trying something new, working through the tricky parts, helping each other along the way, and enjoying the accomplishment when the dance finally starts to click. ❤️💃🕺

Great job to everyone who jumped in and learned Turn This Town with Shawn!

We’re looking forward to bringing this one back onto the floor and watching everyone become even more comfortable with it over the next few weeks. 🤠🎶

What a fun way to wrap up August! Sunday night’s beginner class featured six dances, a great variety of music, and plenty of opportunities to practice, learn, and enjoy time together on the dance floor. ❤️👢

The highlight of the evening was Shawn’s brand-new teach, Funktified! This upbeat Absolute Beginner dance brought a little country funk to the class with easy-to-follow steps, a catchy rhythm, and plenty of personality. 🎶🔥

The rest of the lineup included a terrific mix of recent favorites and familiar dances. From the tropical energy of Coco Na Na to the smooth finish of Glass of Wine, each dance gave everyone a chance to strengthen their basic steps, improve their timing, and build more confidence.
