TANTRA RESTOBAR (唐密餐吧)

“Tantra is an internal revolution, it is a mind stripped of all beliefs, morals, constraints and prejudices, and creates the internal space one needs to conceive infinite and timeless truth. From the moment of this accepted revolution the mind transforms when we let go of our deeper attachments, everything becomes Tantra. This can also take the form of tissue and flesh; The

web of life that unites everything and takes many different forms of infinite creativity. Everything that we need in order to be complete is within us right at this very moment. It is simply a matter of being able to recognize it”

“Tantra restobar” is an indian-tibetan restaurant and bar, for the last four years it was under the name of “bhaskar’s kitchen”. since September 2012 it has been taken over by the Chilean Ricky and the khampa Tibetan Dakpa. We keep the essence of “bhaskar’s kitchen” with great Indian-Nepali-Tibetan dishes and we have also added new Latin American snacks (fried empanadas, burritos) and a happy hour of yak cheese & chilean or tibetan wine (from 16:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 21:30, 20% discount), there is also a Happy hour of pisco sour, the chilean national cocktail, (from 20:00-21:00, 20% discount).

“Tantra restobar” allows for a great, friendly atmosphere and fantastic food with a background of local, western and Indian chill-out music. Immerse yourself in local culture whilst meeting liked minded locals, travelers and nomads. we believe in social responsibility and the duty local businesses in giving back to the community, so we support and promote these forward thinking local organizations:

- Thangka Academy (www.thangkaacademy.com) and Shangri-La Association of Cultural Preservation (www.shangrilaassociation.org): both are non profit organizations dedicated to teaching Tibetan art, culture and Buddhism to young adults and to protecting local ethnic cultures. we highly recommend you to visit the Thangka academy in the Old town of Shangri-la.

- Yunnan Mountain handicraft CENTre (http://www.ymhfshangrila.com/): a non-profit, community based organization founded to promote projects which support local cultural heritage, handicrafts and eco-tourism in Shangri-la. The Center is now home to a Handicraft Shop, a growing community library and micro enterprise training initiatives. Please, go and visit the center in the Old town of Shangri-la.

- Mei Xiang Cheese Farm: a sustainable yak cheese factory in the village of Langdu. It is a community of ethnic Tibetan yak herders who live in an isolated fir tree-lined valley. We invite you to visit “The Shangri-La Yak Cheese Shop” within the old town of Shangrila

- Shangrila farms (www.shangrilafarms.com): When the Malik family discovered Shangri-La in Yunnan Province for the first time, Sahra, Alia and Safi made it their home. When then learned that the average income is less than 300usd per year, they began to wonder how they might help. Thus, They decided to set up a company to help small family farmers to sell their coffee beans and also develop ‘the bee project’ to enable villagers to make local organic honey and to give them a helping hand to make a connection with the outside world. With the concept of organic products and promoting a healthy life style the dream of Shangrila Farms began.
