Taking its cue from the dynamic and ever evolving neighborhood of Capitol Hill, Kaisho combines a highly-social atmosphere with culinary creativity applied to Asian street fare. On the culinary side, Kaisho highlights the seasonal bounty of the Pacific Northwest. With the bar, a small, handpicked list of food-friendly wines and sakes perfectly complement the menu, while an artisanal cocktail program features boutique spirits, Japanese whiskeys and signature cocktails. The Kaisho team is comprised of local entrepreneurs, chefs and operators who have personal ties to the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Owner Russell Horowitz grew up in this neighborhood, and for Executive Chef Kalen Schramke, Kaisho has been a labor of love he has been eager to bring to his home neighborhood. Keith Olson has partnered with Russ and Kalen to help bring Kaisho to reality, and General Manager Joe Jeannot is leading the daily and nightly experience.
