Trio of Big Bottles!

Today's library find is a trio of magnums. 1 bottle of the 2014 Lake County Sauvignon Blanc, 1 bottle of 2014 W.E. Bottoms Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and 1 Bottle of 2013 Pickberry Vineyard Sonoma Valley Cabernet Franc. These three bottles are very age worthy but also are showing well at the moment. Day 14 -Digging in the cellar!

Syrah???

Today we have another broken up vertical. This time from the legendary Rosella's Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. One of the best aging varietals-Syrah from one of the most consistent appellations in California. Rosella's Vineyard sits on a bench above the Salinas Valley where winds from Monterey Bay keep the region cool and the growing season long. The 2004 is still very fresh, and that only means that the younger bottlings are in even better shape. In this set we have the following vintages: 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2012.

Today's treasure is a 3 liter bottle of our 2007 W.E. Bottoms Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. The ultimate aging format and the ultimate size for your festivities. 2007 was a dense layered vintage and the wines have a lot of stuffing so this wine in large format will no doubt be rocking now for another couple years. 1 x 2011 Devoto Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir - The first bottling and the standout of the 2011 vintage. only one barrel made!

1 x 2010 Hanzell Vineyard Chardonnay- we had a short run with the legendary Hanzell vineyard and the 2010 is sturdy as they come. I thought this wine was completely gone, but I found this bottle in a box of another wine.

1 x 98 Pointer Late harvest Chardonnay - tastes like Golden Grahams and honey. So delicious and you will not find this anywhere else. only 24 cases made!

A Broken Up Vertical!

Today's cellar treasure is a six vintage run of Pinot Noir from the Suacci Vineyard located in the Sebastopol Hills of the Sonoma Coast. We are down to single bottles in our secret stash on the older vintages, and we thought it would be fun to throw up this set. We just popped the 2007 the other night, and it is singing right now.

In this pack we have one bottle each of the 2007,2008,2009,2012,2013,2014 from our most unique and extremely cold vineyard. This vineyard always shows scents of pomegranate, raspberry, dried herb and mushrooms and is held together with bright acidity, and it ages very well.

Today's treasure is a mystery case of label and foil blemishes. There may be a wrinkle on the label, but what is inside is spectacular. We have bottles that we pull off the bottling line that don't look perfect. We set these aside for in-house tasting, etc. After a while we end up with a few too many.

Today's treasure comes from the legendary Heintz Vineyard near Occidental, CA. One of the best Chardonnay Vineyards in the West and we have just 2 magnums available of this killer bottling from the stellar 2014 vintage.
