The whole LCBB crew enjoyed a night out at Slater's. Mrs Blog had a Vanilla Coffee Stout on Nitro and I had an amazing double from Modern Times called Mega Blazing World. I was surprised by how long the aroma lasted and the dankness was on point. (I just realized why they called it mega blazing world).

The LCBB crew are back on assignment in San Diego. Tonight we dine at Stone Liberty Station. I started with a tasty Vengeful Spirit IPA made with pineapple and Mandarin oranges. Mrs. Blog chose the Stone Xocoveza spiced mocha stout. Glad we decided to take out the corporate jet, it was totally worth it.

I got to have a glass of Brash's Milk the Venom and it was quite the experience. A little coarse cocoa powder on top of a solid imperial stout base, the chocolate pervades the taste while the heavy stout coats the tongue. Smooth and delicious.

Hey guys come check us out at the second annual Acadiana Classic mountain bike race put on by our friends at Mountain Bike Lafayette! Last year we brewed up the Bent Rim IPA. This year we have a juicy citra IPA. Also joining us in the beer tent is our buddy Ryan with his incredible Pilsner! All beer samples are free of course. So there's no reason not to either precipitate in the race or just come out to see these guys and girls get down and dirty on the trails of Acadiana Park. Gonna take it right into the danger zone. Drinking this is a good reminder of how fortunate we are to have access to so many amazing locally brewed pale ales. I'm glad I got to try it, but it doesn't stand up to what we're growing in our own backyard.
