Do you know how Real Tequila is made?
After planted, the agave needs to be tended to constantly by skilled agave farmers until ready to harvest - which takes about 5 to 7 years!
Once ready to harvest, the agave farmers remove the leaves from the piña - or the heart of the agave - which is covered with hundreds of leaves that must be removed prior to cooking.
And did you know that these agave plants can weigh up to 300 lbs [140 kg] when ripe!?
The piña is then cooked in an oven so it can then be shredded and ready for the extraction process.
During this process the agave juice or aguamiel is extracted from the crushed piña and then fermented for days before being distilled & ready to be bottled & added to the shelves!
If you’re new here…
We are Real Del Valle Tequila, made with 100% Agave and nothing else, so you know you’re always getting the good stuff! I mean it’s even in our name 💦
Our partnership with the farmers (agaveros) who supply our agave is what makes our product so special.
These farmers are also owners of our brand and have cultivated agave as a collective for over 25 years.
The agave they grow in Guanajuato differs significantly from that in Jalisco - offering a more sustainably produced and healthier product.
So if you want a unique, affordable, 100% agave, tequila that respects tradition and values community, you’ve come to the right place.
Follow to support our efforts in keeping things real and traditional 🙏 we could use your support!
