🍎 Fermentation turns apple juice into alcoholic c***r.
🥃 Distillation turns that c***r into apple brandy.
🪵 For aged styles, time in barrels adds color and character.

And blended applejack? That’s apple brandy combined with neutral spirits!

New week. New spirit knowledge! 🍎🥃

Class is in session with Mz. Urban Drinkery, and October is all about APPLEJACK!

Here’s your first lesson: read the label. Straight apple brandy is made entirely from apples, while blended applejack combines apple brandy with neutral spirits. Knowing your bottle helps you understand what’s going into your cocktail!

We started mixing with Urban Orchard on Friday. This week, we’re getting to know the spirit behind the sip.

it’s Cocktail Classroom Friday! 🍎🥃 Let’s kick off Applejack Month with Urban Orchard:

* 1½ oz applejack
* 2 oz apple c***r
* ½ oz fresh lemon juice
* ¼ oz cinnamon syrup

Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice, and garnish with apple slices.

Today’s Spirit School lesson: balancing sweet apple, bright citrus, and warm spice.
