To our friends, brides & grooms, families, and supporters of Pepper Penn Design House:
It is with equal parts sadness and happiness, and immense gratitude that we’ve chosen 2021 to be our final year in business. We still have a handful of weddings this year as many were rescheduled due to Covid and we will continue to pour our hearts into those weddings, but we will no longer take on any new clients.
Lesley and I (Melissa) started PPDH a few years back because of our mutual love of events & flowers, our desire to flex our creative muscles, and help brides & grooms on the biggest day of their lives (plus we just have a TON of fun and we loved spending time with each other!) We grew our friendship and our business and each of us acquired new skills with every wedding. We were honored to be a part of over 50 weddings and created hundreds of beautiful arrangements. We also met some amazing couples and vendors that turned into real life friends.
Life is not stagnant and Lesley and I have both evolved; we each changed careers/companies and as happens with life, things get busier, goals change, and a pandemic has the ability to help clarify priorities for oneself. For Lesley, that means welcoming her first baby in March! And for me, that means spending more weekends at home with my kids (and snuggling Lesley’s new baby).
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every person that has supported us, loved us, and helped us. Thank you to the brides that booked us and trusted us with your weddings. Thank you to each person that sent an arrangement to someone over the years. Thank you for recommending us to your friends. And to our husbands and families, our biggest supporters – thank you for encouraging us, cleaning up our flower messes, bringing us food at random times while we’re busy, and for everything else you’ve done to continually show us love during this amazing chapter in our lives.
