History of the 7 Sins Lounge
The 7 Sins Lounge originated in 1997 with The Progenitor huddling under a blue tarp. As sinners gathered around The Progenitor, the camp gained a name, a few shade structures and a Camp Master. The camp used several aliases over the years (causing the authorities endless confusion), but in 2003 found its' true identity as the 7 Sins Lounge. The 7 Sins Lounge is a hos
pitality camp. We have no dancers, musicians, singers, painters, sculptors or talents of any kind. Our camp specializes in providing a warm, welcoming refuge for straight forward sinning. Our degree of success is indicated by the 2003 bar report. Over the years, the camp's clientelle has been stewed, screwed and tattooed. Also: showered, misted, shaded, spanked, misled, fed, dusted, sheltered, massaged, picked-up after and occasionally sobered up. Less savory activities have also been reported. Past camps:
2006 - 7 Sins Lounge - our hopes were realized and our fears paddled into submission
2005 - 7 Sins Lounge - new extremes of sinful art were burned into our psyches
2004 - 7 Sins Lounge - the first year in which we were conscious of our true identity and our slim chances of reaching the vault of heaven
2003 - Sins Beyond da Leaf - some confusion about our identity and the overall Burning Man theme
2002 - Playa Beach Club - had to give up this name after The Progenitor, in an alcoholic fog, blabbed a detailed account of our sins to the authorities
2001 - Playa Beach Club - bad photos
2000 - Midnight at the Oasis (aka Burning Weanies)
1997-1999 - our sins were nameless
