We supply the Palouse area with laughter and joy. We have open rehearsals on Zoom every Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:00. Link located in our linktree.

Nuthouse Improv Comedy is a troop of hilarious improvisers that come together to put on shows on the WSU campus! Stay tuned for show announcements and links to online events!

Last week, Nuthouse brought our schtick to Chicago to perform in Unitoons College Improv Festival!! They love us there. We almost didn’t leave (but I guess some of us care about the continuation of their education. Me, I’m only here for the glory of college improv).

Don’t worry, we’ll be back to your regularly scheduled crapshoot next week! But we return with Chicago-borne illnesses and newborn improv wisdoms. Do not miss the new Nuthouse, ‘cause we missed YOU!

Want to be part of the sort of community that makes you say “man, I wish I was part of that community”? I’m sure you do. Meet Nuthouse cast, an army of improvisers looking for their collective third, fourth, and fifth. We are ISO funny people of all sorts to join us today at 4:15 in LL47 where we will be hosting AUDITIONS!!!!!!! Not high stakes, just high spirits (or something funnier than that, idk, I’m not the one auditioning). You’ll play improv games with our cast and get notes from our lovely, beautiful, and magnanimous director so we can see how well you apply them! No worries if you are not cast—that’s only an opportunity to grow at open improv every Tuesday and Thursday! Casting is rolling, so you may be plucked from the crowd at open improv as well (it’s very scary when this happens). Please pull up! We’d love to see you.

Washington State Improv Troupe takes Chicago by Storm, in Equal Measure Enchanting and Appalling the Staff of Various Monuments. “I see why they call it the windy city!” says one lactose intolerant improviser who has eaten nothing but chili dogs and pizza for days. “Aren’t we here for a show?” says another, who wishes we weren’t. “AAAAHHHHH!!! We’re at iO theater, the birthplace of Stephen Colbert?!!?” screams a third, while a fourth tries to assure them that when people say “a star is born,” they do not mean that literally. The other two are trying desperately to scramble atop a sculpture that was not meant for climbing, while police try to shoot them down with tranq darts. Are they built like oxen or something? Why aren’t they going down? By Jove! They’ve summitted the thing! They’ve conquered Chicago! We can all go home!

Devastated to report we were not selected for the 2024 Paris Olympics...
..but thrilled to announce that you can catch our show at 6PM this Friday in Butch’s Den (the Lower Level of the CUB) instead!

Come cheer on a team of non-athletes as they perform feats of wit, spontaneity, and crowd work at this week’s free show (medals will not be awarded because the International Olympic Committee apparently doesn’t consider improv a sport and asked us to please stop emailing).
