Fridays "So Long" soiree was hosted by Donna Rassat at her home in Benton City. Her beautiful backyard made it the most relaxing afternoon with a gaggle of lovely friends. As always, there was an abundance of delicious appetizers, desserts, and Oregon wines. Lisa Day ( my sister ;))
led the first toast , Shirley Jones Martin gave a second toast, then Jeanette Re*****on the last one. All very sweet and touching.
I so appreciate everyone in this circle of friends (aka Women Who Wine) and have been blessed by you all. Who knew that this small idea that started with 5 ladies in 2008 would grow to over 100 by 2026?
I look forward to seeing where this group goes with its new leader, Wendy Cantrell VanArsdale in the future. I know it will be great! Cheers!

Shelley, Janelle, and Michelle hosted today's Malbec Christmas party in Horn Rapids. Thank you for inviting us there!
We started the festivities with some bubbles (with edible glitter and cranberries). Then onto the buffet ( did anyone get a photo of the island before we ate it all?)
Thirteen Malbecs showed up to blind taste. Our grand prize winner was TAPTEIL! 2nd place was Canvasback. I didn't take a photo of all the wines after the unveiling, did you?. Thank you all for donating your leftovers and unopened bottles to our hosts.
We played a fun game with our Christmas socks. But we forgot to put them on for the photo op! Next year..

I announced my retirement of coordinating this wonderful group after 17 years. Your new most capable leader will be Wendy Cantrell VanArsdale !
She will be taking it over Feb 1st.

The other big news is we're selling our house after Feb 1 and moving to BANDON, OREGON!!! Our happy place. 😀
We will be coming back to the TriCities every other month. We hope you'll come see us if you're ever in the Coos Bay area (or golfing at Bandon Dunes).
