A little love for our little corner of SE.
Big thank you to Meira Gebel & Axios Portland for coming through, sharing a bowl with us & the sweet feature to close out a very fun summer at Toya. 🔥

Getting to share a little more of what we’re building over here is what it’s all about— from house made noodles & broths to everything coming out of the kitchen & bar.

We had a blast this summer — Toya Trottoria, chilled & soupless noodles, weekend specials, chef collabs, new pours behind the bar & unforgettable nights with everyone who came through! 
We’re feeling that shift in the air & are ready to move with it. Our house builds aren’t going anywhere, but seasonal specials are making their way in, the kitchen & bar have some new ideas taking shape & there’s more to look forarwd to at Toya this fall. 
Appreciate the love, join us as we keep it rolling into the next season! 🤘🏽

This Monday we’re welcoming the Nashville fermentation crew to the Toya bar to celebrate Prosper Sake’s Portland release — sampling sakes, cracking b**rs & getting a first taste of what they’ve been brewing. 
Proper specializes in Yamahai & Kimoto sake, traditional brewing methods that give fermentation more room to develop depth, texture & character.🍶 Founder Byron Stithem will be here alongside Davvy Lee of Namazake Paul, pouring three of Proper’s sakes:
 The Diplomat — Yamahai Ginjo Soft Power — Kimoto Daiginjo Cloud Palace — Yamahai Nigori 
Taste through all three with a flight, grab a glass, or get a carafe going for the table— & bottle for home. Proper’s bringing b**r too! Koji Gold L***r & Koji King Hazy IPA, both brewed with koji. 🍻
 We love any excuse to get new sake on the bar, but even more fun when the people behind it get to come pour it themselves. Come talk sake, try something new & help us welcome Proper to PDX!

Tucked right into the middle of the city, Toya makes for an easy stop whether you’re coming across the bridge, staying central on the east side or staying in & ordering delivery.

We open at 11AM with house-made noodles ready, seasonal plates hitting the table & our bar team shaking up classic cocktails with a Japanese-inspired Toya twist.

A low-ABV pour with Kagura Kabosu & Sansho sake-based liqueur, fresh lime & Douglas L***r— a local b**r with a little old-school PNW spirit behind it.🍻 Bright, citrusy & refreshing, right alongside the rest of our summer menu.

Gabe dropped a new radler behind the bar, seafood cocktails hit the menu & the noodles haven’t stopped moving! 👌🏽

We’re keeping it locked in as we roll through summer— Chef’s always got something new flying through the pass, & our team is here every day holding it down from lunch through dinner.
