The older I get, the more I appreciate peace.
Not because life is perfect.
Not because every problem is solved.
But because I’ve learned how much energy it takes to carry things that were never mine to carry in the first place.
Life can get loud.
Responsibilities.
Worries.
Disappointments.
The endless feeling that there’s always one more thing that needs your attention.
For a long time, I thought strength meant holding it all together.
Now I think strength sometimes looks like sitting quietly with a cup of tea, taking a deep breath, and remembering that not everything requires a response from you.
Not every problem is yours to solve.
Not every burden is yours to carry.
Not every difficult moment needs to steal your peace.
Some things can wait until tomorrow.
For today, watch the clouds.
Finish your coffee.
Let yourself rest.
The world will still be there in the morning.
Protect your peace. It’s one of the few things that becomes more valuable the more life teaches you.
