Seafood chef approved? We took a trip over to NICO | Oysters + Seafood and brought along our MacKenzie’s Fisherman Hand Scrub to put it to the test with Chef Jay! NICO Oysters + Seafood is serving up incredible local oysters and an amazing selection of fresh, local seafood. When we arrived, Chef Jay was breaking down this beautiful whole triple tail!
Any seafood chef knows the struggle: after a long day of shucking oysters, breaking down fish, and prepping for service, those stubborn seafood smells can linger on your hands for A WHILE. That’s why we wanted Chef Jay to try our scrub. Just a drop eliminates lingering odors from fish, oyster juice and just about anything else the service industry throws your way. A huge thank you to Chef Jay and the entire team at NICO | Oysters + Seafood for letting us put our scrub to the test in their kitchen!

We stopped by Abundant Seafood in Mount Pleasant and brought along our MacKenzie’s Fisherman Hand Scrub to see what Captain Mark thought. He was in the middle of scaling fish for a restaurant order, with his hands covered in fish grime and stink! For a commercial fisherman, the last thing you want is to bring that smell home with you. That’s where MacKenzie’s Fisherman comes in. A quarter-size dollop of scrub cuts through the fish smell, guts, and grime, leaving your hands feeling fresh and clean again.
At Abundant Seafood, it’s truly boat-to-plate. Customers can pick up fresh fish right from the dock, and the team personally delivers their catch directly to partner restaurants. Driven by a commitment to sustainability, Abundant Seafood brings the freshest, highest-quality seafood from the water to the table through responsible fishing practices. Thanks again Captain Mark-definitely recommend heading over there for some incredible seafood!

Gutting bluefin requires you to literally get shoulder deep into a fish. And unfortunately raw tuna smell loves to linger on hands, forearms, and more. The worst part is the tuna innards tend to dry especially in the summer sun, which makes it even more difficult to get off. That’s why we made MacKenzies Fisherman Hand Scrub. The lemon essential oil naturally neutralizes fish smell while walnut husk exfoliates and breaks up any dried gunk, especially in those little nooks and crannies on your palm. Made by fishermen, for fishermen!

Sea bass throw-up is the WORST! They vomit crabs, fish, clams, mussels, and anything else they happen to be eating when you hook into them. As a result the boat and your hands end up getting covered in nastiness. Not to mention you’re cutting squid the whole time, so your hands end up getting pretty stinky. That’s why we made MacKenzies Fisherman Hand Scrub. It’s designed for hardworking anglers that deal with stinky fish and bait on a regular basis. Just one dollop on wet hands can totally neutralize fish smell. Don’t believe us? Check out our over 800+ positive reviews from customers that all say the same thing. All other products simply mask the smell. Ours totally removes it.

This stuff is IMPOSSIBLE to get off your hands. Thankfully MacKenzies Fisherman Hand Scrub is up to the challenge. The coarse grit walnut husks break up stubborn grease, grime, and dried gunk. Plus the lemon essential oil naturally neutralizes any odors leaving your hands feeling soft and smelling great. No harsh chemicals that strip the natural oils off your hands like other brands!
