New York named it. We made it. Bottled Manhattan out now.

In 1882 a newspaper noted a new fashion for whiskey, vermouth and bitters. People were calling it a few things, but the name that stuck was Manhattan.

Here’s the park New York leaves out. The whiskey in it was rye, and the rye America drank came from Western Pennsylvania.

This cocktail is the perfect blend of Wigle PA Straight Rye, Little City Sweet Vermouth, and Wigle Pomander Orange Bitters.

Just stir with ice, pour, and enjoy.

Tomorrow is National Whiskey Sour Day! Prepare to celebrate with Wigle’s own PA Straight Bourbon 🥃

Ingredients:
•2 oz Wigle PA Straight Bourbon
•1 oz freshly squeezed lemon
•0.75 oz simple syrup
•1 egg white

Instructions:
•Combine whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup & egg white into a cocktail shaker.
•Shake for 15 seconds without ice.
•Add ice to the shaker and shake again for 15 seconds until very cold.
•Strain into a glass over fresh ice in a rocks class.
•Garnish with a lemon twist.
