This was originally just a pass-through to a large basement room. Nothing special. Just a place you move through to get somewhere else.

During the design process we kept coming back to it though… it felt like it wanted to be more than a hallway.

So we added a small table and a few chairs and turned it into a spot to play cards or work on a puzzle. Simple, but it completely changed how the space is used.

It’s a good reminder that the in-between spaces matter too.

My client already had this beautiful piece by Arno Elias, and it set the tone immediately. Once that was in place, everything else fell into line.

The glacial movement–inspired wallpaper by was the perfect backdrop. Subtle, textural, and just interesting enough without competing with the art.

The ball pillows were intentional. I chose a Kelly Wearstler fabric to echo that same sense of movement, but in a softer, quieter way.

Designing around something meaningful almost always leads to the best rooms. If you already have a piece you love, let it lead.

Proof that simple really does work.

You don’t need a complicated centerpiece to make a statement.
Just a large vintage vessel and a few structural branches, and you’re good to go.

It adds height, movement, and a little drama without cluttering the table or getting in the way of real life.

One intentional piece can completely change how a space feels. Swipe to see the before!

This teen wanted a beachy space that felt fun and light, but not too young. I think we nailed it!

Enough personality to feel special, but still calm enough to grow with her.

That balance is always the goal with teen rooms. Letting them feel seen without locking them into a phase.

If you’re designing for a teen, start with how they want to feel in the room. The style usually follows.

Before + after… but make it real life.

I love shooting finished spaces but most homes don’t have a fresh loaf of bread perfectly styled on a pedestal. Or a bowl of just-washed grapes waiting for its moment.

So, I design and style for how people actually live. Which means the stack of cutting boards peeking out in the background will be staying.

Good design should hold up in real life, crumbs and all. Swipe to see the before!

I’ll always throw in a piece with curves if I can.

This custom linen sofa does all the heavy lifting on its own. It adds just enough drama and sophistication without asking for attention.

And the ball pillows? An easy accent that adds interest without trying too hard.

Sometimes one sculptural piece is all a room needs to feel finished. So if your space is feeling a little flat, try adding a curve.

This one was such a fun process. Designing for a teen boy meant walking that line between masculine and playful and proving you don’t need to default to a blue color palette to get there.

We leaned into texture, contrast, and a little edge instead.
Dark, moody walls.
Warm wood.
A few unexpected details that make the room feel cool and not themed.

If you’re designing a room that needs to grow with someone, start with how you want it to feel and let the rest follow.

Still obsessed with this little moment above the bed.

Personalized neon signs are one of my favorite ways to add personality without overthinking it. They feel fun and they make the space feel yours.

Bonus tip: put it on a dimmer. It doubles as the softest nightlight and adds just enough glow without stealing the show.

If you’re thinking about adding something custom to your space, this is your sign (literally).

One of my favorite guest room setups. Cozy neutrals, soft layers, and a few personal touches.

I always tell people to treat their guest rooms the same way they treat their own. You can do this by adding a little artwork, a framed photo or two, and something textured at the foot of the bed. It’s such an easy way to make guests feel cared for.

Wishing you everything in this photo as we head into the new year. A good record spinning, a stiff cocktail, and the kind of mood lighting that makes the whole night feel a little softer.

Cheers to 2026… finally. 🥂
