Shiawassee County Area Brewers Society The Club page for the Shiawassee County Area Brewers Society. Homebrew club out to enjoy new styles and methods. We meet in the 3rd week of the month.

Established in October of 2008, SCABS (Shiawassee County Area Brewers Society) has grown it’s membership from the surrounding area of Owosso, MI to now include members from the central Michigan area’s of Flint, Flushing, Grand Blanc, as well as Saginaw and beyond! Our objective is to pool the resources and knowledge of current homebrewers to improve our craft and love of great beer, and inviting those who want to learn the art of home brewing. If we are having a standard meeting, we will normally meet on the Thursday at a local venue, often the Wrought Iron Grill or Smokin Johnny V’s. If we are having a tasting meeting, these are often held on the Friday of the week and then usually at the home of one of the members. Throughout the year club members welcome and open their homes to each other to host extract, partial mash and all-grain brew sessions. This is a great opportunity to learn and expand your brewing knowledge. Bottom line, we are about fun, friendships, and camaraderie with a common denominator of brewing and enjoying great craft beer.
