My physique coming out of quarantine 🏡 ⁣

Back in the gym now FINALLY! ⁣
I’ve been doing strictly body weight workouts yet maintaining the physique you see above. I had to adapt to my surroundings but still kept consistent with workouts 3 times a week from home. ⁣

Now, I’m hitting the weights once again after almost 3 months! Can’t wait to hit new PR’s and share some more workouts along the way. 💪🏼

Me thinking about what I’m going to do without my gym 😐⁣

This quarantine has its ups and downs. Unfortunately the biggest downside for me is the lack of gym equipment.. My entire workout program is based on building strength which requires heavy weight training. How am I supposed to do this in my apartment? 🤷🏼‍♂️⁣

BUT, as frustrated as I am, we can choose to be positive ✅ and roll with the punches. ⁣
As for me, I’ve already gone to Walmart and purchased some fitness gear for the home. (I’ll probably return most of it) 🤫⁣

I’m excited to come up with some at-home workouts that will allow you to maintain your strength gains, even if you don’t have access to weights. ⁣

After all, we are all in this together 🤷🏼‍♂️ No matter where you’re from, your religion, race, anything.. this affects us as humans. So let’s work together and help others. ⁣

Happy Monday 🕺🏼 ⁣

Fastest shoulder workout below 🔽⁣

I’ve been focusing on shoulder strength trying to grow the shoulders both in strength & size. ⁣

Now, I’m focusing on strength with heavier weight compounded lifts. Then I’ll be doing a few weeks of higher volume to really make them pop! ⁣

I went in to the workout fasted, so I had zero regrets for demolishing some mellow mushroom after the workout. Turns out those two slices came out to 1,000 calories and 60 grams of protein. Not bad for some pizza 🍕 ⁣
Still tons of room to work for a nice and filling dinner later tonight. 🍽 ⁣

Shoulder workout:⁣
- Standing barbell shoulder press 3 sets / reverse pyramid ⁣
- Barbell shrugs 4 sets of 8 increasing weight ⁣
- Cable rope face pulls for rear delts 3 sets 10-15 reps⁣
- Dumbbell lateral raises 15 reps then 4 sets of 5 15 second rest max⁣

Short and simple due to a full ab workout directly after..⁣

I’m restructuring my strength training program with simplicity in mind. Very user friendly ⁣
It will be targeting for beginners or advanced styles of training. ⁣

I’m starting from scratch 🤷🏼‍♂️⁣

I have decided to simplify my training. I want to focus on muscle groups that form a dominate physique, that’s it. ⁣
I want to narrow down the key lifts that will allow this. ⁣

For upper body, my main targets are going to be:⁣
- Shoulders ⁣
- Back ⁣
- Chest ⁣

Of course I will continue to to train other groups such as legs, abs and of course the biceps 💪🏼 ⁣

But with this simplicity, I have to “cut the fat” off of my workouts. ⁣
With this, I’m going to only train 3 days a week on weights with one active rest day for cardio/abs. ⁣
This way I’ll have maximum muscle recovery time and I can focus on getting as strong as possible for the muscle groups mentioned above. ⁣

Last but definitely not least...⁣
I’m rewriting my strength program with these exact things in mind. Stay tuned 😉

Which grip do you prefer? ⁣

I believe they are both beneficial in their own ways. ⁣

1️⃣ double overhand will test your grip strength ⁣
2️⃣ alternating grip will ease your grip and allow you to pull more weight ⁣

I usually alternative between these two grips. One week doing double overhand for more reps, and then following week doing alternating grip for max weight. 🏋🏼‍♂️ @ Fitness CF Clermont
