Well Comets Nation, we have about reached the end of soccer season. We did not get to the Ron Newman Cup Finals, but we fought our way to the playoffs, and for that we should be proud. We know that this is not the result we were hoping for, but with the defeat comes lessons to be learned. The level of play in the league has improved over the years and games are getting harder to win in the regular season. Therefore our teams strategy, skills, demeanor, discipline, and frame of mind need to evolve in order to compete on an higher plain with other teams. This summer, I am sure that Comets management and coaching staff will be reviewing our performance and will surely make changes to come back next year, stronger and more resilient than before.
So with all this in mind, we say a great big "THANK YOU!" to all the players, owners, and staff of the Kansas City Comets for giving us the opportunity to bare witness and attend one of the most interesting, exciting, and fast paced sports in America today.
Also, A big "THANK YOU!" goes out to you...the Comets fans. Thank you for showing up, cheering and supporting the best team in the MASL. Thanks also to the fans who show up for our Comets Nation Watch Parties. We truly enjoy and appreciate our soccer family.
So, until next year, Comets Nation! Stay safe, stay engaged, and stay Comets True!
'Till I Die!
