Black Label Bike Club Oakland presents a Bike Scavenger Hunt in Wild, Wild, West Oakland. Small teams of contestants (3-5) will compete to find valuable(and worthless) items in the Urban Post-Industrial wasteland of West Oakland. Each team will need a guide with first-hand knowledge of local geography and indigenous customs, and a camera to document discoveries that cannot be carried. A panel of c
elebrity judges will score each teams collected treasures for difficulty, style, and stupidity. Prizes will be awarded for various achievements, including 1st team done and best cheating. Judges will be announced in advance so the bribery can start early.
$20 per team entry fee. Registration begins at 2:00 at Eli's Mile High club, 37th and MLK. Rides starts from Eli's at 3:00, secret location for bonus points will be announced then. After party with tall-bike jousting and music @9:00 @ ABCO, 3135 filbert. Bands/DJs TBA. Cheap drinks and food will be served. We are still looking for items for prizes, like gift certificates, shwag, bike gear, t-shirts, stickers, art, whatever. More information coming as its available.
