DUST YO PLANTS!

Dust is bad for a plant because it acts as a physical barrier that blocks sunlight and clogs the tiny pores (stomata) on the leaves. This prevents the plant from effectively breathing and performing photosynthesis, ultimately starving it of the energy and food it needs to grow.

It also contributes to increased Pest Risk: Dust accumulation creates an inviting environment for common houseplant pests like spider mites. It also obscures early warning signs of an infestation (like tiny webs or eggs), allowing pests to multiply undetected.

We personally prefer diluted neem oil (P.S. we don’t love the smell of neem but it works so well + we just light one of incense right before). iIt treats your leaves while cleaning the dust and boosting their shine. Plant wipes, dry micro fiber cloth and premade plant sprays with *clean ingredients* are all options.

Some things to consider prior to submitting your resume:

-Available between 9:00am-5pm Friday-Sunday because that’s when we’re open (you will not have to work every day over the weekend but the availability is mandatory).

-Available throughout the summer.

-Plant experience or barista experience is fantastic but not mandatory!

It’s taken me a few days to post this. Our dear who has been a part of the greenhouse basically since we’ve opened had her last shift with us last Sunday. While we will miss having her in our space every weekend we’re so excited for what’s to come in this chapter of her life. She’s off to continue chasing her dreams with her music. If she’s ever made you a drink, served you, sang for you and sold you her incense please help us send her off with love.
