The Manifesto: Why Back2 dot live?
We believe the best things in life happen in rooms, not on screens.
After 30 years in the industry—from the basement comedy clubs of NYC to the grandest theaters—we’ve seen the "middlemen" take over. We’ve watched ticketing giants bury artists in fees, clutter their pages with ads for competitors, and treat audience data like a product to be sold.
Back2.live is the correction. We didn't build this to be a "tech company." We built this to be the plumbing for the next great era of live performance.
Our Promise to Artists
Free for Artists. Forever. We don’t make a dime unless you sell a ticket. No monthly subscriptions, no "pay-to-play" featured listings, and no hidden overhead.
Your Page is Your Stage. Your custom URL belongs to you. We will never put an ad for another show on your page. We don’t "recommend" other artists to your fans. We get out of the way.
Instant Pay. We use Stripe Connect to ensure that when a fan buys a ticket, the money goes to you—not into our "holding account" for three weeks. You eat when the fans eat.
Our Promise to Patrons
Transparent Pricing. No "convenience fees" that cost as much as the ticket. Just a flat $2 fee. That’s it.
Privacy is Paramount. We are artists, not data brokers. We will never sell your email address or track you across the web.
The 6th Show is on Us. We want you back in the room. Attend five shows on our platform, and we’ll waive the fee on your sixth.
Our Promise to the Arts
Every single ticket sold on this platform does more than just fill a seat. $0.50 of every fee goes directly into our Arts Charity Fund to support the creators, the venues, and the next generation of performers who keep the "live" in back2.live.
"We’re just the plumbing. You’re the show."
Back2.live was founded by Walt Frasier and a collective of artists who were tired of the status quo. We are building the path back to the stage—one ticket, one game, and one "Yes, And" at a time.
Let’s get back to live.
🛠️ Vibe Check for the UI:
When you have Claude build this page, tell him:
Typography: Use that bold Cyan-to-Purple gradient for the header "The Manifesto."
Layout: Use plenty of "Dark Mode" negative space. It should feel like a high-end theater program.
The Signature: At the bottom, we should include a digital version of your signature or a "Founder's Note" to keep it personal.
