Comedy Mob

Comedy Mob is an open mic started by George Vanarthos & Kevin Hurley. Although we already believe we've accomplished this, we would love for you to decide. We consider this the best mic in the city along with many other comics because we will pay you $5 for every audience member you bring. Week after week, we continue to have a great audience and amazing support. We currently run four shows and mics:

- Mic every Thursday at St. Mark’s Comedy Club @ 7pm (Comedy Mob Thursdays)
- Show every Saturday at Stand Up NY @ 6pm (Bring It!)
- Mic every Sunday at New York Comedy Club East 4th @ 5:30 (Comedy Mob East)
- Audition Show for SUNY at Stand Up NY once a month @ 8pm (Get Made)

How do you get on these shows? First of all, let me tell you a little bit about the Comedy Mob. We are ALL about support! We support you, you support us, and we all support comedy. This means a few things to us. We ask that you stay for as much of the mic/show as you possibly can and watch the comedy that’s happening in the room. When that happens, it makes a better situation for everyone involved. Our mics are also ZERO dollars to perform, all we ask is you support the bar/club with a 1-item minimum. The club make ZERO dollars from these mics. We just want a good show. Comedy Mob Thursdays

- Facebook message the Comedy Mob starting at 9pm on Thursdays to potentially get on the mic
- We have well over 100 comics sign up for this mic, so sometimes it takes a little while to get on
* We take 5 people from a random lottery

* You are GUARANTEED a spot if you bring 1 guest (the show is free, with a 1-item minimum)

Comedy Mob East

- Email [email protected] starting at 9pm on Sundays to potentially get on the mic
- We have well over 100 sign up for this mic so sometimes it takes a little while to get on
* We take 5 people from a random lottery
* We take 5-10 “Comedy Mob Regulars”
* You are GUARANTEED a spot if you bring 1 guest (the show is free, with a 1-item minimum)

- This is our big weekly show.
- This is a bringer show. Bringer requirements vary from 3-6 people depending on the demand and season. (Tickets are $20 with a 2 drink minimum.)
- This show includes 2-5 professional comics
- We GUARANTEE you will be watched by one of the Directors of New Talent of the club.

Get Made

- This is a monthly audition to get passed for checks and guest spots at Stand Up New York
- This show is invitation only
- You can get invited after one of the New Talent Directors see you on the Bring It! Showcase
- Here you will be seen by both Directors of New Talent, one of the club owners, and the Booker/Chief of Staff
