Small city. Big Oktoberfest energy. 🍻

New Ulm may be home to about 14,000 people, but our German heritage, hometown hospitality and love of a good celebration can stand alongside any festival in the country.

Apparently we're not just a good place to visit. 👀

New Ulm was named one of the cheapest beautiful towns to live in Minnesota — highlighting our Minnesota River Valley views, German heritage, historic downtown, Flandrau State Park, and locally owned businesses.

And with a June 2026 median home sale price of $251,650, we're talking about a place where beautiful surroundings and small-town living don't necessarily come with a big-city price tag.

Not a bad place to call home. ❤️

A state park adventure—minutes from downtown. 🌲

Flandrau State Park covers approximately 1,000 acres along the Big Cottonwood River, with eight miles of trails, wooded scenery, camping and plenty of room to stretch out.

And when you’re ready for lunch, shopping or another attraction, downtown New Ulm is just a short drive away.

It’s the best of both worlds: time outside without leaving the rest of the trip behind.

📍 1300 Summit Avenue
🚗 Minnesota State Park vehicle permit required
