Some beers are too good to disappear.

When a beloved Southern Minnesota brewery closed its doors, there was one beer people never stopped asking about. We knew we couldn’t let it fade away.

That’s why Schell’s acquired the recipe and brewing rights to bring this iconic beer back to life. Many former Mankato Brewery employees have since found a home here at Schell’s, and to make sure fans got the same beer they remembered, we invited the original creator of the recipe back to help brew it once again.

Same recipe. Same hands. Same flavor people fell in love with years ago.

This isn’t just bringing back a beer, it’s preserving a piece of Minnesota craft beer history.
