My new label design for Troon Vineyard
Day 2 tribute to Earth Day on April 22nd:
Troon Vineyard celebrates Earth Day 2021, and its 2nd vintage as a Demeter Biodynamic® Certified vineyard and winery, with the release of their new labels and wines.
Each of these attractive new labels features one of the botanicals used in Troon's biodynamic preparations applied to their compost pile, and later used in the vineyard.
This trio of limited-production wines represents Troon Vineyards ongoing commitment to biodynamic farming and winemaking in Oregon's Applegate Valley:
2020 Troon Vineyard Vermentino, Applegate Valley, Oregon (SRP $25, 450 cases produced.)
Barrel fermented in mature French oak barrels with extended lees contact produces this rounded, generous Corsican style wine - but with a natural acidity characteristic of the Applegate Valley.
2020 Troon Vineyard, Kubli Bench Amber, Applegate Valley, Oregon (SRP $35, 250 cases produced.)
This Kubli Bench estate orange wine blends specifically selected rows of white grapes (riesling, vermentino, viognier) farmed to achieve the same phenolic ripeness required for red wine.
2020 Troon Vineyard, Glou-Glou Grenache, Applegate Valley, Oregon (SRP $25100 cases produced.)
Glou-glou is French slang for 'gulp-able' wine.
Drink up! Here's to Mother Nature!
