If you haven't seen this show, you should. It's enlightening, maddening, and just plain baffling, all at the same time. Do you wonder why food costs so much? Why the poor can't afford simple, nutritional meals? Why a nutritionally dead, chemically laden fast food burger is cheaper than a bunch of carrots? Its because 40 or 50 percent of what farmers and grocers produce gets thrown away. Perfectly good food going into the trash or to compost, because of our ridiculous, unrealistic expectations. I have no words...
