Happy New Year! 🥂

While our taproom may have closed its doors on 12/28, we're still super proud of this incredible beer we brewed with our friends at StillFire Brewing.

Parisienne Gold, a French-hopped Italian-inspired Pilsner!

✨ This is both our first proper lager and our last beer produced in Mount Vernon. ✨

Expect: A bright golden pour with a tall white head.
Taste: European malt, hops, and yeast create a dry, crisp, and clean finish.
The Secret Ingredient: Barbe Rouge hops from the Alsace region of France add a nuanced flavor of ripe fruit, strawberry, and even a hint of raspberry.

Happy Holidays from your friends at Alternative Medicine Brewing Co.!

We've got a bittersweet announcement: we're releasing our final beer brewed here in Mount Vernon, and it's a special one! Introducing Parisienne Gold, our first foray into proper lagers! This French-hopped Italian-style pilsner (or a French Pilsner, if you will!) pours a bright golden hue with a creamy white head. European malts, hops, and yeast create a crisp, clean finish, while the secret ingredient—Barbe Rouge hops from Alsace—adds delightful hints of ripe strawberry and raspberry.🍓 This beer has a special story: Our friends at StillFire Brewing's head brewer hails from a small high school a bit over a mile from AMBC. Imagine his surprise when a recent grad represented Team USA in Paris this summer and brought home 2 Gold & 2 Silver Olympic medals AND a new American record in the breaststroke! To celebrate this incredible achievement, we teamed up to brew Parisienne Gold. Just like an Olympic swimmer gliding through the water, this lager refreshes with every sip. 🏊‍♀️

AMBC: A Bittersweet Farewell

Dear Friends and Family,

It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Alternative Medicine Brewing Co. Our last day of service will be December 28th, 2024.

Five years ago, we set out to build a brewery in a disused space in Mount Vernon, brew some rad beer, and create an inviting space where people could come together and have a good time. We've had some incredible moments: from the release of our first batch of DDH IPA to rocking out at festivals and collaborating with amazing breweries. We've met so many wonderful people who have become like family.

Unfortunately, the realities of running a small business have caught up with us. While we've poured our hearts and souls into AMBC, we simply don't have the resources to keep going.

What's Next?

We're not quite sure yet. Jordan plans to continue his journey in the beer industry, but the details are still hazy. As for the brewery and taproom, we're exploring options for a potential sale. If you're interested in a turnkey brewery and/or a stunning bar space, please reach out to us.

The Final Countdown

Through December 28th, we'll be pouring some of our best beers, including some rare backstock and a couple of new releases:

· Parisian Gold: Jordan's first (and last) lager, a French-hopped pilsner collab with StillFire Brewing. (12/13)

· Dark Prophecy: An imperial stout brewed with Luxardo maraschino cherries. (12/6)

And of course, we'll be offering discounted beer until we run dry.

To those who have supported us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll miss you all dearly. And to those who didn't, well, you know what to do.
