The San Francisco Midwinter Bar Workers Ball

The San Francisco Midwinter Bar Workers Ball UNITED IN NIGHTLIFE! In it's tenth year, the city's long running celebration of the finest the service industry has to offer on the Barbary Coast.

Founded in 2004, the San Francisco Mid-Winter Bar Workers Ball started as a late night conversation/ dare made while closing up after last call to see if it were possible to throw an industry party and invite every single bartender in the 49 square miles. Ten years later it's pleasure to say that the ball has become a annual favourite for the SF's industry workers to gather after the post-holiday

hustle and before the start of another busy season. From the Sunset to Chinatown and the Bayview to the Marina, bartenders, barbacks, servers, bussers, dancers, deejays, coat checkers, bouncers, promoters, concessionaires, and the like gather on one night to swap war stories and throw a few back. Join us again, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, as our gracious sponsors 7x7 Magazine, Broke-Ass Stuart, and Churchill help put on yet another fantastic event none of us will remember.

Season Opener, Bus Station John at DISCO DADDY's Earth Wind & Fire Tribute! SUN FEB 21 At The SF Eagle With DJ Bus Station John / 7pm-Late After The Bust! :), and Sonny at Madrone Art Bar and Pops Bar!

To our divine poster artist célèbre, Diego Gómez. Check him out at Disney Princess X-Men Art Show by Diego Gómez Opening Reception!

To all my volunteers who helped hoof the lonely hills of San Francisco handing out fliers for shots!

It was hijinx as usual on a blustery, chilly night when gin slingers from Hayes Valley to as far away as boozy bastions in the East Bay came out to lift a glass of free-flowing Anchor Brewing Company quaffs and jig about to the sonic stylings of Brown Amy & Carnita, Bus Station John, and Sonny Phono Between the healthy gulps they strutted their stuff and presented the merits of their craft before our esteemed dais of judges including the SF Weekly's Pete Kane, the San Francisco Chronicle's Paolo Lucchesi, Some Thing's VivvyAnne ForeverMORE, and last but not least our dear co-sponsor for the seventh year, Broke-Ass Stuart! Many thanks to everyone who came, the fanastic Rickshaw Stop, our graphic designer Diego Gómez, our gorgeous volunteers and especially to doll baby Shot In The City Photography for the sumptuous photo spread. See ya next year!!
