Our Story
The Better Beer Society is a best-practices organization for how beer is handled, served and sold in Minnesota. Our organization aims to implement these best practices through a series of professional services designed for all parts of the three-tier system. From designing and installing proper draft systems that focus on eliminating beer waste to educating and properly training staff on best-practice service / assurance techniques, or through our comprehensive ongoing draft maintenance and partnership program...our mission is to continuously improve industry standards. In order to facilitate these services, all employees of the Better Beer Society have years of industry experience, and/or have numerous certifications, including Certified Cicerones®, Micro Matic, and through the Beer Judge Certification Program. Our team is well versed in draft system components and troubleshooting, FOH service, beer styles, off-flavor recognition, etc. In addition to the industry services that we provide, and perhaps the most exciting aspect of the Better Beer Society, career-minded beer enthusiasts have the ability to become BBS Certified through a series of evaluations centered around proper beer service, selection, storage, and knowledge. This certification offers them the ability to become a well-rounded beer professionals, learning practical knowledge through a unique hands-on approach. We welcome your comments, and feel free to contact us either on this page or via our website for more information. Cheers - www.betterbeersociety.com
