Tonight, movie fans is our last Movie Monday! For our final screening, we are showing the Marvel Blockbuster: CAPTAIN AMERICA - THE WINTER SOLDIER

For Steve Rogers, awakening after decades of suspended animation involves more than catching up on pop culture; it also means that this old school idealist must face a world of subtler threats and difficult moral complexities. That comes clear when Director Nick Fury is killed by the mysterious assassin, the Winter Soldier, but not before warning Rogers that SHIELD has been subverted by its enemies. When Rogers acts on Fury's warning to trust no one there, he is branded as a traitor by the organization. Now a fugitive, Captain America must get to the bottom of this deadly mystery with the help of the Black Widow and his new friend, The Falcon. However, the battle will be costly for the Sentinel of Liberty, with Rogers finding enemies where he least expects them while learning that the Winter Soldier looks disturbingly familiar.

Suspenseful and politically astute, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a superior entry in the Avengers canon and is sure to thrill Marvel diehards.

THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune -- all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

Tonight! THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE!!

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

Smart, smoothly directed, and enriched with a deeper exploration of the franchise's thought-provoking themes, Catching Fire proves a thoroughly compelling second installment in the Hunger Games series.

NEWS FLASH, Movie Goers:
It has just been decided that Brocach will be closed on Labor Day, this Monday, September 1st. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 2nd.

This means that the movie scheduled for this week The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will be pushed back, (which is OK because it was probably gonna rain anyway...)

So enjoy your long holiday weekend everyone, and keep suggesting movies for the last few weeks. We'll see you back on September 8th!

Our final *scheduled* movie of the season is next week... that is unless you want us to show movies through the end of September, as we did last year.

Let us know what you want to see for the next four weeks and we will do our best to accommodate you! Because honestly at this point, we're completely out of ideas.

Another Monday, another chance of rain. But rest assured, we've been keeping an eye on the Radar and we're confident that the skies will stay clear for tonight's movie: HOOK! And as summer winds down, it gets dark earlier every day. As such, we will begin the movie tonight at 8:15. Same drink specials as always, so come on out and enjoy this Robin Williams classic!
