Yesterday, a new client told me after class that she’s been to chair yoga before, but it was nothing like she’d ever experienced.
I want to share a few things that make Chair Yin in the Himalayan Salt Cave different with a caveat - no class is better than the other. This class just has a few things that make it a little nontraditional.
•The chairs recline.
Class takes place in gravity chairs, and we practice reclined and upright.
•This is a Yin class.
Meaning our goal is to target the deep connective tissues—like your ligaments, joints, fascia, and tendons through long, passive holds that improve overall flexibility and joint mobility.
•The room is dark.
Just as you see here, the only lights in the room glow.
•Massage included.
Every class includes a 1-2 minute massage for clients who wish. Typically it’s feet, but sometimes hands.
•The floor is salt AND each guest has a personal salin system beside them.
There are many benefits to spending time in a Himalayan salt cave (check them out on Google) and the personal salin systems emit microparticles of salt into the air surrounding each guest as they breathe - more added benefits!
Class is held every Wednesday at The Salt Grotto in downtown Wooster. There are two sessions to choose from: 4:15 and 5:30. It is $16 per person and booking is open through the end of October. All 4:15 pm classes have plenty of space and 5:30 pm classes are close to full (still space though - book soon!)
Private sessions are available for 2-8 and are $20 per person.
